Leslie R. McGowan, MD
Dr. McGowan has been practicing with The Urology Group since 1986. He received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee Center for the Health Sciences in 1981. His residencies in surgery and in urology were completed through the University of Tennessee affiliated hospitals.
Dr. McGowan has been certified by the American Board of Urology since 1988 and currently holds memberships with the American Urological Association and the American Association for Clinical Urologists.
David A. Gubin, MD
Dr. Gubin received his medical degree in 1993 from the University of Tennessee, Memphis. He remained at the university to complete his internship as well as his residencies in surgery and urology, which were completed in 1999. Dr. Gubin was certified by the American Board of Urology in February 2001.
Dr. Gubin was involved in a number of clinical studies throughout his residencies and has also co-authored a number of articles and abstracts for professional publications. He currently holds membership with the American Urological Association and the American Association for Clinical Urologists.
Mark D. Greenberger, MD
Dr. Greenberger received his medical degree in 1994 from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. He completed his residency and internship at the University of Tennessee. He completed his training in 2000 and was certified by the American Board of Urology in February 2002.
Dr. Greenberger is part of the clinical faculty at the University of Tennessee Department of Urology. He has been involved in a number of clinical studies during his residency and private practice. He currently holds memberships with the American Urologic Association.
For your convenience, he is seeing patients at locations in East Memphis and Southaven, MS. His interests include general urology, men's health issues, and general urologic oncology.
Walter Rayford, MD, PhD
Dr. Rayford attended the University of Kansas where he received his doctorate (Ph.D.) in Biochemistry in 1987, and his Medical Degree in 1991. He completed general surgery training at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, MO, and urology training at the University of Kansas. Dr. Rayford completed a urologic oncology fellowship at the National Institutes of Health, National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, MD. He was certified by the American Board of Urology in February, 2002.
Dr. Rayford has published extensively in the areas of prostate cancer, benign prostate hypertrophy and health disparities. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Preventive Medicine at the University of Tennessee. He currently holds membership with the American Urology Association, American Association of Clinical Urologists, National Medical Association and R. Frank Jones Urological Society. He provides exceptional urological care to patients in East Memphis, Southaven and Holly Springs, Mississippi.
