Urodynamic testing is used to diagnose patients with urinary issues, including incontinence. These tests may be performed on both men and women. The tests measure nerve and muscle function, bladder pressure, flow rates and other factors. Specific tests include uroflometry, cytometric testing and electromyography.

These tests are designed to help your doctor decide on a course of treatment for your condition. In some cases, results are available immediately after the tests are taken. Once the results are in, your doctor will be better prepared to treat your problem.
